This is the Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1. And let me tell you, whether you're a student in college or a housewife or a professional, this is a value-for-money 2-in-1 laptop. This means you can use it as a regular laptop or as a tablet, and I'll tell you, I was really surprised by its pricing. I'll be covering everything in this review, so let's get started.
1. Best Dell laptop Design
The device isn't too heavy; it's portable and feels good in hand. Speaking of weight, it's around 1.5 kilograms, which is slightly okay. It's neither too heavy nor too lightweight; it's right in the middle. This laptop comes in a sturdy plastic build. You'll find air vents at the bottom; some are for inflow, and others are for outflow.
Dell 2 in 1 ports & buttons
When we talk about ports and buttons, there are 2 USB Type-C ports, yes, there's also a Thunderbolt port from where you can charge with 65W support. There's a full HDMI port, so that's good. On the right-hand side, there's an SD card reader, which is good. There's a USB Type-A and a 3.5mm jack. The 3.5mm jack is towards the back, generally, it's at the front, but this time, you have it the other way around.Dell 2 in 1 Display
Its build quality is good, and that's a positive aspect. Also, the hinge is well-made, which is also good. Talking about the keyboard, it's a good backlit keyboard, and having front-firing speakers is nice. Generally, speakers are placed on the sides or at the bottom, but having front-firing speakers enhances the multimedia experience. The touchpad is large. I'll discuss the Intel Core i7 specifications later, but first, let's talk about the display. It's a 14-inch display with 250 nits brightness, an IPS LCD touchscreen. The bezels are very thin, and it comes with a Full HD cam with 2 noise cancellation microphones, which cancel background noise during video calls. Additionally, there's a physical privacy shutter button on the top, which is really important in today's world. The display has a 16:10 aspect ratio, giving it a modern feel.Dell 2 in 1 specs & pricing
Let's discuss the specifications and pricing. You'll understand why I think this is a value-for-money deal. These laptops start at Rs. 55,000 and go up to Rs. 90,000. The base variant comes with an Intel Core i3 13th generation processor, while the i5 and i7 variants are higher up. The base variant has 256GB of storage, and the topmost variant offers 512GB SSD storage. For Rs. 55,000, the base variant seems excellent for regular use, equipped with a great 13th generation processor, LPDDR5 RAM, and the highest variant has 16GB RAM. There are different variants available to suit various needs.Dell 2 in 1 Multimedia
I was playing multimedia on this. Let me tell you, these speakers are really good. Multimedia is enjoyable too. Yes, it has 256 nits brightness. If it had 300 nits brightness, it would be a bit brighter. But the audio is definitely top-notch. It has Dolby Atmos tune and Waves Max Audio Pro tuned, so basically, the audio tuning is excellent, hence the quality you get is good. So, the multimedia experience is very, very good.Dell 2 in 1 my Dell Dashboard
"By the way, there's a dashboard in my Dell laptop's software. I'll talk about the Windows software, but this is an interesting thing for me. You can customize four things: color and display. Yes, you can tune it however you want, like movie mode, sports mode, animation mode, according to your preferences. And there's something called Comfort View. Essentially, if you're using it a lot in low-light, you get a blue light filter. In fact, the Comfort View is certified by TV Rhineland, so it doesn't strain your eyes. If you're watching sports, you can switch to that mode. You can do all of that along with checking the battery power. I didn't talk about the battery; it's a 56-watt-hour battery and charges from 0 to 80% in 60 minutes. It supports fast charging too. You can also customize the audio. There are a lot of customization options, so essentially, you get a dashboard where you can customize audio, power, display, and other things. Speaking of battery backup, you get 10 to 12 hours of video playback. So, if you're watching YouTube, Netflix, etc., once it's fully charged, you can watch for up to 12 hours. For security, there's a fingerprint reader for opening it; the security is good. As I mentioned earlier, it also has a backlit keyboard. So, in terms of looks and features offered for the price, it's definitely good. Talking about connectivity, it has WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.0 support. Dell has tested it extensively, opening and closing it 20,000 times; it should easily last 4 to 5 years without any problems. They've tested the keystrokes up to 10 million times, so in terms of durability, it's good. By the way, this is a 2-in-1 laptop. It's not a gaming laptop for students or professionals, but if you buy the i7 16GB variant, you can do light gaming on it because it has an integrated Iris graphics card. But if you're a creative person, an artist who wants to paint, in the box, you get a stylus, which I think is very, very useful, especially for artists.
